2002

98-62, 1st Place in NL West, Lost to Cardinals 3-0 in Division Series

There were no changes at all from the previous season, except for the removal of all American flag patches.  They would continue to be worn on some occasions, such as Memorial Day and the Fourth of July.  2002 would mark the end of the line for the purple jerseys, as they would not be worn after this season.

Home Alternates

No changes, though keeping the momentum from 2001, the vests were worn quite often, moreso than the "official" home whites.  The Purple jerseys were used very rarely, to my knowledge, only when Rick Helling was the starting pitcher.

On September 28th, the Diamondbacks clinch their second straight NL West title.  This game also marks the final time the purple jerseys will ever be worn.  Not a bad way to go out.

Batting Practice

No changes to the jerseys, but many players now chose to wear jackets instead of jerseys.
